Vocabulary cards for a dictionary of the revolution
Artistic project by Amira Hanafi
Material for A Dictionary of the Revolution was collected in conversations with around 200 individuals in Egypt in 2014. Participants reacted to vocabulary cards containing 160 words that were frequently used in political conversation. The digital publication of the Dictionary contains 125 imagined dialogues in Arabic woven from transcription of this speech.
